Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking a seasoned General Ledger Accountant III to maintain accurate financial records, perform complex reconciliations, and support month-end close. The role collaborates across entities to ensure GAAP compliance and timely reporting, with audits and discrepancy resolution as key duties.

The position requires extensive GL experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 10+ years general ledger experience preferred.
• CPA or other accounting designation is a plus.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Ability to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Access, Outlook.
• Experience with Costpoint is a plus.
• Experience in multi-site/state operations is desirable.
• Knowledge of federal contracting is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations, roll-forwards, and research discrepancies.
• Manage general ledger and subledger reconciliations with explanations.
• Prepare complex account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare intercompany journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely processing of reconciliations and reporting deadlines.
• Support internal and external Audit requests.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure policy compliance.
• Provide ongoing analytics and issue resolution.
