CITGO Petroleum Corporation in Houston seeks a GIS Specialist to lead the Geographic Information System program for pipeline assets and regulatory compliance. You will administer the PODS SQL database, manage the SDE server, and evaluate software solutions to optimize data management and reporting.

Responsibilities include data governance, spatial analysis, and collaboration with IT and external vendors. Strong ESRI ArcGIS experience in pipeline contexts is required, with DBA tasks and reporting

Qualifications

• Associate's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience or 10 years of job-related experience in lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of pipeline operations required.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software products in pipeline applications required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the GIS system, manage data for pipeline centerline and attributes, and ensure data accuracy.
• Perform GIS analysis with ESRI ArcGIS to create maps and data-driven alignment sheets for multiple stakeholders.
• Execute DBA tasks for PODS maintenance, write SQL queries, and design database objects for regulatory and asset data needs.
• Lead GIS software implementations, budgets, upgrades, and licensing, coordinating with IT and vendors.
• Provide guidance and training on GIS tools and supervise GIS contractors as needed.
• Stay current with industry events and regulatory changes to maintain compliance.
