Job summary
Greenwood County is seeking a working GIS Manager to oversee the County’s GIS operations, ensuring accurate, reliable geospatial data for county departments, the public, and external agencies. You will coordinate GIS projects across departments and provide technical expertise in data management, mapping, analysis, and system administration.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a GIS-related field with five+ years of GIS experience.
- Experience coordinating GIS projects across departments.
- Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online/Portal required.
- Knowledge of spatial databases (e.g., SQL Server) and data governance.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, and manages GIS operations, services, and projects.
- Establishes and enforces GIS data standards, workflows, and procedures.
- Coordinates with county departments and external partners on GIS initiatives.
- Administers and maintains ArcGIS Enterprise/Server environments.
- Develops scripts and tools using Python; creates web apps with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Produces analytical maps, reports, and dashboards; supports 911 GIS data needs.
