Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS or related field; six years IT work experience with geospatial data, three years at GIS Analyst level
• GIS knowledge including geodatabases, spatial analysis, mapping, and data management; familiarity with ArcGIS suite and related software
• Ability to travel to alternate locations; valid CA driver's license may be required

Responsibilities

• Lead GIS system architecture design and implementation.
• Develop, test, install, and maintain custom GIS applications, scripts, and tools to automate processes.
• Provide GIS guidance and training to staff; mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with DBA team to secure and optimize geospatial data sets.
• Create geodatabases, layers, and cartographic products for reports and presentations.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications and documentation.
