Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Successful completion of a Physician’s Assistant program.
• PA licensure required within first three months of membership and privilege.
• PA certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad spectrum of patients and perform clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Assess health status by taking medical histories and performing exams, labs, and studies.
• Coordinate treatment plans and monitor patient progress under physician supervision.
• Triage and refer to appropriate sources and manage care plans with physicians.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options, preventive care and health maintenance.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation for administrative purposes.
• Collaborate with physicians to manage care cost-effectively and coordinate with the care team.
• May orient and train new Physician Assistants and coordinate staff schedules.
