Job summary

LVI Associates seeks a Senior Geotechnical Project Manager / SME (PE) to join the South Florida team in Port St. Lucie or West Palm Beach, FL. Base salary $130,000–$160,000 plus a $600+ monthly vehicle allowance, gas card, and relocation assistance.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in geotechnical engineering, Florida-specific soils experience, strong project management, and excellent client-facing skills. PE license required; mentorship and business development opportunities available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Proven project management experience.
• Strong understanding of Florida geotechnical conditions and design practices.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical projects from proposal through delivery
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert on Florida soils and foundations
• Prepare and review geotechnical reports, recommendations, and engineering analyses
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and project staff
• Interface directly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
• Support business development efforts and maintain existing client relationships
• Provide technical oversight on residential, commercial, DOT, and infrastructure projects
• Coordinate field investigations, laboratory testing programs, and engineering recommendations
