Job summary

ECS Limited in Knoxville is seeking a Geotechnical Senior Project Engineer to manage key client projects, provide technical oversight, ensure quality control, and mentor junior staff. You will lead project execution, develop scopes and plans, and supervise field exploration and data interpretation.

The role requires 5+ years in geotechnical engineering, a PE license, strong leadership and communication, and experience guiding engineering teams; an MS is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles and design.
• Excellent project management and communication abilities.
• Experience leading and developing engineering teams.
• Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Business development experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of geotechnical projects from inception to completion.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and plans.
• Perform geotechnical analyses and engineering calculations.
• Supervise field exploration and interpret geotechnical data.
• Review designs, drawings, plans, and specifications for technical accuracy.
• Mentor junior engineers and project managers.
• Support business development through client engagement and community involvement.
• Promote company values and maintain high employee engagement.
