Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking a senior geotechnical engineer in Maryland to lead diverse projects for public and private clients. You will work with geotechnical and materials testing teams and contribute to reports, calculations, and on-site inspections.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited deg in Civil or Geotechnical engineering.
• 12+ years of geotechnical engineering consulting experience.
• Professional Engineer license in Maryland or able to obtain within 3 months.
• Willingness to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Work with geotechnical and materials testing/inspections teams on a variety of projects.
• Prepare geotechnical reports and calculations.
• Provide technical support to field staff.
• Review construction inspection daily field reports.
• Occasional project site visits and potential re-categorization as Managing Principal.
