Job summary

Fugro is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer in Baton Rouge to lead geotechnical projects, analyze geodata, and provide trusted engineering insights. You will plan explorations, supervise reports, and coordinate with clients while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, 1+ year geotechnical experience, and ability to travel up to 25%. Texas PE preferred; strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Civil Engineering is required; a Ph.D. is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of geotechnical experience with data interpretation and calculations.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas preferred.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence; present information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Log soil borings and test pits; coordinate soil exploration programs.
• Assist in planning and scheduling projects and cost estimates.
• Prepare engineering reports and perform prescribed analyses.
