Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to be based in Germantown, MD. You will support a broad range of geotechnical projects across infrastructure, federal, and data-center sectors, with opportunities to work regionally and globally from planning through construction.

You will lead subsurface investigations, engineering analyses, and design recommendations while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to business development. This hybrid role offers growth in a collaborative, global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of related geotechnical engineering experience.
• Active PE License is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and provides technical expertise for various projects.
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Leader in one or more areas of technology.
• Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large, complex projects.
• Support proposal efforts including preparing interdisciplinary scopes and budgets.
• Implements Quality program for consistency and accuracy of work.
• Mentor junior engineers and helps support their technical development; potential for future supervisory duties.
