Job summary

SOCOTEC in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical investigations, proposals, and project management in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

The role requires a PE license in Arizona, a BS in Civil Engineering (MS geotechnical preferred), and more than 10 years of geotechnical experience, with strong leadership and communication skills. Hybrid work with one remote day is available, and SOCOTEC offers mentorship and professional training.

Qualifications

• PE license required in Arizona.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering required; M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering or geotechnical emphasis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with marketing and business development.
• Prepare geotechnical proposals, including scope of services and proposed fees.
• Prepare and manage/oversee geotechnical projects and reports.
• Respond to questions for solicitations during pre-bid and bid phases.
• Maintain client relationships and work with clients to ensure project success.
• Provide training and review of engineering work.
