ECS Group of Companies in the United States seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead major infrastructure and transportation initiatives across the Southeast. You’ll balance technical design with high-level client management for DOT and large-scale programs.

The role requires 5+ years in geotechnical/transportation engineering, PE license, and proficiency with geotechnical software. You’ll guide field explorations, reports, and proposals while ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil/Geotechnical/Geological Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license; Professional Geologist may be acceptable in some states.
• 5+ years in geotechnical and transportation engineering focused on design, PM and technical leadership.
• Expertise in DOT GDM, AASHTO LRFD, and geotechnical software (gINT, LPile, APile, MSEW, FB-Pier, GRLWEAP).
• MicroStation proficiency preferred.
• Proven track record leading technical reviews and senior technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary team on geotechnical and CMT projects.
• Direct embankment, foundation design using MicroStation/OpenRoads.
• Oversee field explorations, drilling, test pits and inspections.
• Primary DOT and external stakeholder liaison to meet requirements and deadlines.
• Develop geotechnical reports and design packages with technical seal when needed.
• Manage project budgets and resource allocation for on-time delivery.
• Lead business development and proposal submissions for regional opportunities.
• Cultivate relationships with DOT, municipal agencies, and Tier 1 consultants.
• Ensure 100% compliance with DOT, AASHTO and ASTM standards.
