Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Civil/Geotechnical Engineer (Dams & Levees) to join our Davis, CA or Olympia, WA offices to support dam and levee projects and water infrastructure.

You will work with experienced professionals on field investigations, design calculations, construction support, and technical reporting, gaining hands-on experience in dam safety, flood protection, and heavy civil construction while receiving mentorship and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical or related field required.
Coursework in soil mechanics, foundation engineering, slope stability or dam/levee topics preferred.
EIT certification preferred; field methods and data interpretation experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

Support dam and levee design projects with field investigations and data analysis.
Perform basic calculations and evaluations under senior guidance (slope stability, seepage, settlement).
Prepare field notes, summaries, calculations, reports, drawings and specifications.
Conduct construction observation and QA for earthwork and foundation work.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical solutions.
