Job summary

Ayres Associates Inc. seeks a senior geotechnical/geological engineer to lead dam rehabilitation and FERC Part 12D-related analyses. You will manage projects, oversee planning and production, and ensure profitability and quality in a growing national practice.

You will also mentor staff, engage with professional organizations, and develop client relationships to win utilities projects. A PE license and extensive dam experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with geotechnical/geological emphasis.
• Master’s degree in geotechnical/geological engineering preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the US; eligible by comity in Ayres’ states.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification of opportunities and collaborate to win FERC hydropower projects.
• Manage projects and oversee design/production of plans to meet schedule and quality standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with Project Managers and leaders within Ayres.
• Support mentoring and development of staff; engage in professional organizations.
