Job description

CMT is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer who can work in a leadership role within our geotechnical division in Centennial, CO.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop proposals and determine cost and schedule for investigations.
  • Provide direction to technical team in field inspection activities. Interact with customers and team members to complete the assigned projects on-time.
  • Evaluate team performance and determine training needs to meet performance objectives. Maintain existing client relationships and develop new client relationships.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies.
  • Plan and conduct geotechnical exploration programs effectively.
  • Perform field and environmental investigations for construction projects.
  • Analyze geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations and prepare technical reports for review by other senior geotechnical engineers.
  • Perform basic office administration tasks when needed.

Required Skills:

  • Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of related work experience within the State of Colorado.
  • Proficient in soil mechanics.
  • Must have detailed knowledge of both geotechnical and material testing/special inspection services.
  • Must have existing client/revenue base for both geotechnical and material testing/special inspection services.
  • Able to creatively apply engineering principles to solve new problems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in teams.
  • Valid Colorado professional license (P.E.)
