Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a General Superintendent to provide senior field leadership across geotechnical construction projects in the United States. You will oversee safety, production, quality, and personnel development while coordinating multiple crews and ensuring work aligns with plans and client specifications.

You will lead shovel-ready and complex field operations, travel extensively, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical construction, deep foundations, heavy civil construction, drilling operations, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 3 years in a Superintendent or equivalent field leadership role, including oversight of multiple crews or projects.
• Hands-on experience with drilling equipment, casing systems, grouting operations, and foundation construction methods.
• Demonstrated ability to manage challenging subsurface conditions and complex field operations.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, quality control, and structural performance requirements.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, scopes of work, and technical documents.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Champion and reinforce a strong safety culture, ensuring every team member understands and follows established safety programs and procedures.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and formally evaluate Superintendents on a regular basis; provide performance coaching and recommend compensation and recognition decisions as appropriate.
• Support field leadership on active projects involving drilling, casing, foundation construction, grouting, anchoring, and related ground support systems.
• Develop and maintain training programs for field personnel, from entry-level crew members through senior operators and supervisors.
• Participate in leadership and operations meetings, providing updates on project performance, safety, staffing, operational risks, and business challenges.
• Coordinate crew scheduling and resource allocation in collaboration with operations teams, balancing project demands and travel schedules.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among project teams, engineering staff, clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, quality standards, and approved work procedures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with project owners, contractors, engineers, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
• Drive accountability, productivity, and continuous improvement across multiple teams.
• Lead by example and maintain a strong field presence.
