Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a geospatial specialist to manage spatial data, build visualization tools, and support environmental planning. You will work on ArcGIS Enterprise, web apps, and data governance with cross-disciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes 3–D visualization growth, XR exposure, and collaboration with scientists and engineers. A strong SQL/ArcGIS background and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Visualization, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years EX3 or 9 years EX4 experience; Master's may substitute per INL matrix.
• 2–4 years with SQL Server (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS) and ArcGIS in Enterprise environments; GIS analysis techniques.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Support geospatial database maintenance and management, including importing, exporting, querying, and QA/QC of spatial data in ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Develop and support web-based mapping apps and spatial data visualization tools; apply GIS platforms and web visualization tech.
• Apply geospatial tools to support spatial/temporal data analysis across environmental management, infrastructure, and campus planning.
• Create and maintain maps for land use planning, infrastructure, natural resource management, and emergency management using ESRI tools.
