Job summary

Meridian Systematics seeks a Geospatial Systems Engineer (TS/SCI) in Springfield, VA to lead secure geospatial solution architecture. You will bridge enterprise GIS with cloud-native software, focusing on Kubernetes orchestration, DevSecOps, and containerized microservices within secure environments.

The role requires 10+ years in systems engineering with DoD/IC exposure, expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise/Pro, PostGIS, and strong Python/JavaScript/SQL skills.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance and US Citizenship.
• 10+ years in systems/software engineering and enterprise GIS integration.
• 5+ years supporting DoD/IC programs.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/Software Eng./GIS.
• Deep hands-on experience deploying containerized apps with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift, plus secure CI/CD workflows.
• Mastery of ArcGIS Enterprise/Pro, GeoServer, QGIS, PostGIS, and OGC standards.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, SQL, and C++ or C#.
• RMF, STIG compliance and secure SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

• Containerization & Infrastructure: Architect, deploy, and manage containerized geospatial microservices using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Enterprise GIS Architecture: Design, integrate, and optimize enterprise GIS platforms (ArcGIS Enterprise/Pro, GeoServer, PostGIS) and OGC services.
• Data Pipelines & AI/ML: Develop geospatial data pipelines with AI/ML model integration.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure systems comply with RMF, STIGs, and IC cybersecurity policies.
• Technical Leadership: Lead Agile/Scrum workflows, review architecture and code, and mentor software personnel.
