Job summary

1898 & Co., part of Burns & McDonnell, is seeking a Senior Geospatial Consultant to lead GIS analyses, system implementations, and data migration strategies for utility and infrastructure clients.

The role focuses on enterprise GIS modernization, Utility Network programs, and leveraging emerging geospatial technologies to create long‑term value, while guiding teams and supporting BD efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business, computer science, engineering or related field from an accredited program and 7 years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead GIS analyses for client projects and review work for accuracy.
• Provide technical leadership for GIS system implementations, configurations, and integrations.
• Develop technical specifications, approaches, cost estimates, and schedules for deliverables.
• Lead modernization initiatives including Utility Network implementations and data migrations.
• Mentor staff and support business development efforts.
