Job summary

Wilson & Company seeks an experienced Geospatial Project Manager to lead delivery on LiDAR, photogrammetry, and GIS projects. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality while serving as the primary client contact.

About a quarter of your time will be dedicated to business development and pursuing repeat work with accounts you manage. You will collaborate with a production team, mentor staff, and present status updates to leadership.

Qualifications

• Solid technical background in LiDAR, photogrammetry, and GIS with hands-on project delivery experience.
• History of project development from early client interaction through proposal, award, and delivery.
• Track record managing project and operational financial metrics (budgets, margins, utilization, forecasting).
• Strong client management skills, with a track record of building trust and sustaining long-term relationships.
• Some business development experience and BD support for proposals and new work.
• Self-starter who can operate independently while collaborating across a matrixed team.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery from award through closeout on existing and new work.
• Serve as primary client contact for assigned projects, managing expectations and communication.
• Manage project financials: budgets, fee tracking, earned value, margins, utilization.
• Coordinate with LiDAR, photogrammetry, and GIS production teams to staff and execute projects.
• Dedicate ~25% of time to business development: identifying opportunities and supporting proposals.
• Build client relationships during delivery to drive repeat business and expanded scopes.
• Develop project schedules and resource plans across production, survey, and CADD staff.
• Provide technical review on LiDAR, imagery, and GIS deliverables to meet specs and standards.
• Coordinate with other service lines to identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Mentor project staff and support professional development.
• Prepare and present project status updates, risk assessments, and change management communications.
