Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a Sr. Mapping Designer to create, maintain, and update complex geospatial data and maps for infrastructure projects.

This role requires advanced GIS expertise, strong mapping principles, and the ability to support project planning and documentation. Responsibilities include producing detailed maps with ArcGIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D, performing spatial analysis, managing geospatial databases, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a geospatial field or related discipline.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in mapping or GIS roles, preferably in infrastructure.
• Expert-level proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online).

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce detailed maps and geospatial data using ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and related software.
• Perform advanced spatial analysis to support engineering and construction teams.
• Manage geospatial databases, ensuring data quality and standards compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers and project personnel to integrate mapping data into workflows.
• Conduct quality control on mapping products to meet project specs and regulations.
• Research new mapping technologies to improve data quality and efficiency.
• Provide guidance to junior mapping designers and team members.
• Assist in developing mapping standards and documentation.
• Troubleshoot complex GIS issues.
