Dewberry is currently seeking a Senior Geospatial Analyst in our Tampa, FL or Fairfax, VA office. Typical responsibilities include working on GIS/IT and Remote Sensing projects for state and federal clients across the US, including script/macro development, training, production, QC, and process improvement.

Remote positions will be considered, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

1. Creating Scripts/Models/Macros for multiple sensor platforms.
2. Assisting in project execution, on time and within budget, working with the Product Line Lead.
3. Data Management: Planning, monitoring, and ensuring proper data handling, storage, and backups.
4. Following quality control practices to meet client specifications.
5. Supporting SOP development and process improvements.
6. Supporting automation of production and QC processes.
7. Multi-sensor processing, manipulation, and production.
8. Analyzing point clouds and geospatial data layers.
9. Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Beneficial Skills or Experiences

• Formal education in Surveying, Geomatics, GIS, or related fields.
• Conference attendance and communication with business partners.
• Project management experience or certification.
• Experience with Terrasolid, MicroStation, LASTools, LP360, Global Mapper, QGIS.
• Knowledge of Python or other programming languages.
• Experience with GDAL Tools, ArcGIS Data Review, and Remote Sensing certifications.
• Current security clearance preferred.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years in imagery and lidar data processing and analysis.
• Deep understanding of GIS and Lidar concepts and workflows.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS 10x and ArcPro.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Experience mentoring junior staff.
