Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks notebooks, jobs and cluster optimization for geospatial workloads.
• Deep expertise in Oracle database administration and development supporting complex queries.
• Proficient in SQL with optimization, window functions and spatial queries.
• Solid knowledge of general database concepts including normalization and performance tuning.
• Understanding of geospatial concepts including projections and spatial joins.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable geospatial data pipelines in Databricks that integrate diverse spatial datasets to support analytics and reporting.
• Develop optimized SQL queries and spatial procedures in Oracle environments for accurate data handling.
• Analyze large map-centric data to identify spatial trends informing planning and resource allocation.
• Create geospatial visualizations and map dashboards for quick stakeholder understanding of insights.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists and analysts to define geospatial data models and maintain standards.
• Implement data quality checks and governance for geospatial layers and metadata.
