Description

General program information and/or position overview. The Software, Simulation, and Systems Engineering (S3E) Portfolio is seeking a Senior Geospatial Analyst (SGA) to support contracts centered on GEOINT data production for the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. The S3E Portfolio provides geospatial intelligence support across a broad number of offices and agencies in the form of geospatial products, analysis, engineering and services. The opportunity is for a candidate with great technical experience and existing skillsets to support the creation of geospatial products that inform decision makers for analysis, planning, execution of and in theater operations for the Warfighter to ensure mission success.

Primary Responsibilities. The Sr. GIS Analyst will provide the following:

  • Thorough background/understanding of quality control and finishing procedures
  • Support in geospatial analysis of satellite imagery to perform feature data collection
  • Interact daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups
  • Must have ArcGIS experience, preferably with ArcGIS Pro, and an understanding of feature data and cartographic products, photo interpretation, and vector data editing
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel
  • Must have technical and leadership abilities and be able to demonstrate such skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with 3+ years experience
  • US Citizen required (no dual citizenship, no Green card)
  • Experience with feature extraction, photo interpretation, AFFIF/DVOF data, Quality Control over imagery
  • Experience with one or more of the following feature data schemas: TDS, GGDM, UFD, GIFD, DFEG, TFEG, MGCP TRD, MUVD, FACC
  • ESRI products including ArcGIS
  • Experience generating production tracking methods and SOPs
  • Knowledge and execution of AAFIF, Geonames and DVOF workflows
  • Ability to train staff in GIS fundamentals
  • Experience in data finishing and quality control

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years experience
  • Experience in the review and development of multiple data schemas and formats
  • SQL, Python, C# or Java
  • Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or SpatiaLite
  • FME
  • SDE knowledge
