Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a Geophysical Application Specialist to conduct geophysical analyses across subsurface settings, delivering physics-based predictions of rock and fluid properties. The role involves partnering with technical centers and external partners to advance workflows and capabilities, mentoring colleagues, and supporting data acquisition and asset investment

Qualifications

• MS degree or higher.
• 10+ years of industry or postdoc/academic experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to tailor messages to both technical and non-technical audiences (Proficiency in English).
• Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to evolving business needs.
• Right to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geophysical analysis to deliver physics-based, quantitative predictions of rock and fluid properties and spatial extents.
• Design technical workplans and ensure high-quality execution.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, engineers, and others to shape data acquisition and operations.
• Interface with ExxonMobil technical centers and business units and co-venturers.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Drive workflow improvements and technological advancements.
• Engage with external vendors and academic partners to adopt innovations.
• Support capability development by mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices.
