Job summary

RESPEC in Bozeman, MT is seeking an experienced Senior Geochemist to provide technical leadership in mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry consulting. Preference is given to candidates based in Bozeman, with opportunities to work from Denver, Reno, or Rapid City.

You will lead projects, mentor staff, and help shape the future of our mining biogeochemistry practice, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across North America.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Geochemistry, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage technical consulting projects.
• Excellent technical writing, verbal, and presentation abilities.
• Client management and business development track record.

Responsibilities

• Lead geochemistry and biogeochemistry projects within mining and environmental consulting.
• Mentor junior to mid-level geochemists and scientists.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on mine water and tailings management projects.
• Develop and review high-quality deliverables with rigorous quality standards.
• Cultivate client relationships and support proposals and business development.
