Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Molecular Genomics Core Research Specialist III to develop and advance Core technologies and services in a fast-paced environment. Initial duties will be at Magnolia Campus, with relocation to Speros in Land O’Lakes, FL as facilities open mid‑July 2026.

The ideal candidate has extensive NGS library prep experience, Illumina sequencing setup, QC analysis, and automation exposure with BioMek and Sciclone.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Biotechnology related field with a minimum of 5 years hands on experience in molecular biology/genomics assays.
• Experience with a wide array of microarray and NGS technologies and automation a plus.
• Ability to work independently, acquire new genomics skills rapidly, and multitask with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Drafting SOPs, project quoting and billing, training lab members, supporting cell authentication services, and assisting in new Core services development.
• Interface with customers and Core staff to support current Core services and coordinate with vendors.
