AD Stanley is a growing critical-power service company supporting telecom networks, commercial facilities, hospitals, and industrial customers with generator maintenance, UPS systems, DC power plants, lithium batteries, and full backup-power lifecycle services.

We are expanding across MI, IN & KY and seeking experienced Senior Generator Technicians to support telecom and commercial/industrial sites. Our culture emphasizes safety, integrity, teamwork, and technical excellence.

Position Summary

The Senior Generator Technician is responsible for advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, commissioning, and field leadership for standby power systems. You will work independently on diesel and gaseous generators, ATS systems, and control equipment across telecom and commercial locations. This role is ideal for highly skilled technicians who take ownership, solve complex issues, and mentor junior techs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting on diesel and gaseous generators
• Diagnose and repair alternators, voltage regulators, battery chargers, governors, and cooling systems
• Troubleshoot ATS systems, control panels, and AC/DC electrical faults
• Conduct load-bank testing, interpret results, and provide repair recommendations
• Perform generator startups, commissioning, and acceptance testing
• Execute major component replacements and complex repairs
• Lead field work and mentor junior technicians
• Install or replace controllers, wiring, conduits, and fuel/water supply lines
• Follow OSHA, PPE, LOTO, and company safety procedures
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours assignments as needed

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of generator maintenance and repair experience
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and control system troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Generac, Kohler, CAT, Cummins, or similar OEMs
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and one-line drawings
• Proficient with multimeters, ammeters, and megohmmeters
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced ATS diagnostic and repair experience
• Experience with commissioning and system startups
• OSHA safety training
• Knowledge of NFPA 70/110 and EPA guidelines
• Telecom generator experience is a plus
