Job summary

Solution One Industries seeks a Generator Technician for West Texas and New Mexico operations based in El Paso, TX. You will maintain and operate generators, troubleshoot engines and fuel systems, and work with a team to support CBP mission readiness.

You must have 5+ years of generator maintenance, strong safety and quality standards, and be able to work on-call shifts, including nights and holidays. U.S. citizenship and security clearances may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or trade school program or apprenticeship completed.
• At least 5 years of generator maintenance experience for contracts of similar size and scope.
• Experience applying ISO, AS9100, or comparable quality standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on generator engines, fuel systems, and controls.
• Operate and maintain megawatt‑rated high‑amperage and high‑voltage generators.
• Assist in development and measurement of the maintenance management system and ISO/AS9100 initiatives.
• Work on-call, rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Utilize diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes) to identify and troubleshoot faults.
• Provide guidance to team members and ensure safety and operational protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with CBP stakeholders and contracted maintenance teams on service quality and performance metrics.
