Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on Generative AI and Physical AI for robotics in San Jose. You'll work with MuJoCo/Isaac Sim for motion planning, retargeting, and policy training, interfacing software with real hardware, and contributing to the Embodied AI Agent initiative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development with C++ or Python.
• 3 years testing, maintaining, or launching software products with 1 year of design/architecture.
• 1 year with state-of-the-art GenAI techniques or related concepts.
• Experience with robotics frameworks, kinematic motion planning, actuators, and sensor integration.

Responsibilities

• Build robust, low-latency C++ and Python pipelines for robotic motion planning, trajectory tracking, and multi-sensor feedback loops.
• Deploy robotic arms and Vision-Language-Action models to autonomously wear, adjust, tap, and interact with smart glasses.
• Emulate sight, speech, and hearing to validate real-time multimodal interactions with AI assistants.
• Leverage MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, PyBullet for motion retargeting, trajectory optimization, or policy training.
• Integrate software with hardware, tests, and automated testbeds.
