Job summary

Peraton Labs seeks a Senior Generative AI Analyst to serve as an expert power user of Peraton[x], turning executive questions into fast, defensible answers. You will direct AI agents across data retrieval, fusion, structured analysis, visualization, and automated reporting, providing decision-ready outputs for senior executives.

You will shape the platform by giving feedback to engineering and product teams, define workflows, and demonstrate value through pilots and PoCs for internal leaders,

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in data, business, or strategic analysis, or a related analytical role.
• Proven experience directly supporting senior executives, synthesizing diverse sources into concise, defensible conclusions and decision-ready briefings.
• Hands-on experience using agentic AI systems and large language models to build multi-step workflows, applications, or analytical products.
• Strong working knowledge of LLM capabilities and limitations, including model selection, prompt engineering, and common failure modes such as hallucination.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with executive presence.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with technical teams, translating user needs into clear, actionable feedback on platform capabilities.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where tools, workflows, and priorities change quickly.
• US Citizenship.
• Ability to work onsite in Reston, VA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a go-to resource for senior executives, turning broad requests into decision-ready analysis and AI-enabled applications.
• Act as an expert power user of Peraton[x], building multi-step agentic workflows and selecting models to fuse data into finished products, without writing code.
• Evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs, verifying facts against sources and flagging gaps to ensure accuracy and sourcing.
• Contribute to development of QA and evaluation frameworks for AI-assisted analytical products.
• Develop reusable workflows, templates, and automated reports for faster, consistent executive requests.
• Provide feedback to engineering and product teams on usability and high-value use cases, prioritizing platform development.
• Design and deliver demonstrations, pilots, and proof-of-concept workflows for internal leaders and customers.
• Collaborate with executives, analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to identify high-value analytical use cases.
• Support training, onboarding, and mentoring of platform users.

Position Summary

Peraton Labs is seeking a Senior Generative AI Analyst to be an expert power user of Peraton[x], Peraton's no-code enterprise Generative AI platform, and a direct analytical resource to senior executives. The role combines analytical tradecraft, executive support, and hands-on use of AI tools to produce timely, high-quality analysis.

You will turn executive questions into fast, defensible answers by directing AI agents through the full range of Peraton[x] capabilities: agentic workflows, natural language interfaces, data retrieval, data fusion, structured analysis, visualization, and automated reporting. The ideal candidate is a seasoned analyst with executive presence who is comfortable with diverse data types and sources.

You will also help shape where Peraton[x] goes next. You will give the engineering and product teams direct feedback on usability, capability gaps, workflow effectiveness, and high-value use cases, and you will show internal leaders, customers, and industry audiences what the platform can do.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs, verifying facts against sources and flagging gaps and assumptions to ensure every product meets executive standards for accuracy and sourcing
• Contribute to the development of quality assurance and evaluation frameworks for AI-assisted analytical products
• Develop reusable workflows, templates, prompt strategies, and automated reports that make recurring executive requests faster and more consistent
• Help define and document concepts of employment, analytical workflows, operational procedures, and best practices for other teams to adopt
• Provide continuous feedback to engineering and product teams on usability, capability gaps, and high-value use cases, and help prioritize platform development
• Design and deliver demonstrations, pilots, and proof-of-concept workflows that showcase platform value to internal leaders, customers, and industry audiences
• Collaborate with executives, analysts, engineers, and mission stakeholders to identify high-value analytical use cases
• Support training, onboarding, and mentoring of platform users, sharing best practices and lessons learned across the organization

Desired Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Background in defense, intelligence, homeland security, or government services
• Active security clearance, or the ability to obtain one
• Experience with workflow automation, no-code/low-code platforms, SQL, or Python
• Experience designing AI evaluation methods, benchmarks, or quality assurance frameworks
• Experience leading AI adoption, pilots, or technology transitions, including developing SOPs, training materials, or best-practice guides

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
