Job summary

Flowtec Construction is seeking a General Superintendent in Southeast Michigan to lead field operations on ground-up and complex projects, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and strong client communication. You will drive execution from mobilization to closeout, overseeing multiple projects with significant scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of superintendent experience in commercial construction.
• Ground-up construction background; Design/Build experience preferred.
• Strong scheduling, planning, and subcontractor management capabilities.
• Professional communicator for leading client-facing conversations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on ground-up and complex projects $5M–$10M; larger up to $40M.
• Manage site logistics: subcontractor coordination, manpower planning, sequencing, inspections.
• Maintain strong onsite presence with high-quality execution and safety standards.
• Build and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project.
• Create weekly look-ahead plans; keep schedules accurate and updated.
• Align field work with Project Management and centralized project support.
• Maintain client-facing communication and represent the company onsite.
