A well-established civil construction contractor based in New York is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to oversee field operations across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in civil construction, particularly in heavy civil works such as infrastructure, utilities, and bridges. This role demands excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in civil construction with heavy civil exposure.
• Proven experience as a General Superintendent or Senior Superintendent.
• Strong background in roadway, infrastructure, utilities, bridges, or similar civil work.
• Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations for multiple civil construction projects.
• Manage and support project superintendents, foremen, and field staff.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Enforce safety policies and maintain a strong safety culture across all sites.
• Coordinate with project management teams on scheduling, manpower, and logistics.
• Monitor quality control and ensure work complies with contract documents and specifications.
• Interface with clients, inspectors, and subcontractors in the field.
• Assist with project planning, sequencing, and constructability reviews.
