Job summary

Zurich North America invites applications for the Chief General Liability Attorney role in Irvine, CA. The attorney will represent insureds in all stages of high-complexity litigation with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include trial preparation, legal research, drafting pleadings, discovery management, and advising on case strategy while maintaining client communication and confidentiality. Hybrid work model with in-office weekly reporting to Irvine.

Qualifications

• J.D. and 10+ years in the Litigation area.
• Extensive experience handling complex liability litigation including trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
• California Bar in good standing; knowledge of insurance defense litigation.

Responsibilities

• Represent insureds in all phases of litigation for highly complex matters.
• Prepare and manage case strategy, pleadings, discovery, and hearings.
• Maintain case files and ensure compliance with best practices.
