Job summary

The Hartford in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Team Leader Claims to manage a tenured General Liability team. You will guide approximately 7 General Liability Litigation Claim Handlers, oversee investigations, determinations and settlements, and ensure adherence to claim settlement policies.

Qualifications

• Prior high exposure general liability claims and litigation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of contracts and contractual indemnification.
• In-depth understanding of coverage and risk transfer.

Responsibilities

• Leading approximately 7 General Liability Litigation Claim Handlers with corresponding claim inventories.
• Training, coaching and developing staff to enable optimal job performance and goals.
• Managing claim investigation, liability determinations, disposition and settlement per policies.
• Leading change and communicating drivers and business goals.
• Evaluating and managing staff performance.
• Provide technical guidance for General Liability Litigation Claim Handlers.
