Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Commercial General Liability (CGL) Claims Adjuster to handle complex bodily injury and property damage claims end-to-end under commercial policies. You will drive coverage analysis, liability determinations, and settlements while managing multi-jurisdictional exposures and construction-related losses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; Adjuster licensing as required.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial general liability claims handling; litigated/construction claims preferred.
• Strong understanding of CGL coverage, policy interpretation, and jurisdictional differences.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate and manage a full caseload of CGL claims including premises, product, and construction-related losses.
• Drive timely claim resolution through diary management, planning, and documentation.
• Analyze complex policy language to determine coverage applicability and draft position letters.
• Conduct comprehensive liability investigations and evaluate damages and exposure; establish reserves.
• Manage litigated files with defense counsel and participate in mediations and settlements.
• Identify risk transfer opportunities and coordinate with carriers to maximize recovery.
• Maintain proactive client and stakeholder communication with detailed status updates.
