Job summary

The role handles high-exposure GL claims, oversees complex matters across products liability, habitational, contractors, and liquor liability, and coordinates with defense counsel and insureds in a hybrid work setup. The candidate should have 7+ years of GL claims experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage deadlines with effective communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive commercial insurance claims handling experience.
• Focus on Commercial General Liability lines of business.
• Ability to assess priorities and manage deadlines effectively.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Up to 20% travel.

Responsibilities

• Present facts of claims, with recommendations, to committee as necessary on General Liability claims.
• Incorporate all claims into company records and review for applicability of coverage.
• Prepare large loss reports where applicable.
• Attend and participate in mediations/trials as necessary.
• Establish appropriate loss and expense reserves.
• Supervise activities of Independent Adjusters, investigators and defense attorneys.
• Adhere to procedures and Best Practice guidelines; ensure coverage compliance.
