Job summary

Hoxton Circle client in the semiconductor space seeks a Senior General Ledger Accountant in Santa Clara to advance GL operations and strategic projects. You will handle complex multi- entity close, eliminations, and consolidations while integrating a foreign entity into Business Central.

The role blends 75% operational GL work with 25% technical duties, including ASC 842 lease accounting, contract reviews, and researching one-off transactions. Growth into AP/Fixed Assets is anticipated.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of GL/accounting experience, multi-entity preferred.
• Solid US GAAP grounding with eliminations and consolidation exposure.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting and vendor reviews.
• Ability to research and account for one-off transactions.
• Exposure to AI/automation of processes in accounting.
• Technology-driven environment; IP-licensing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• - Work on a large project integrating a foreign entity into Business Central, moving journal entries from Excel directly to the ERP.
• - Support multi-entity close including eliminations and consolidations
• - Roughly 75% operational, systems-driven GL work and 25% technical work (ASC 842, vendor contract review, one-off transactions needing research).
• - Grow into AP and Fixed Assets over time
• - Champion AI-driven efficiency and build out processes for the GL function.

Requirements:

• - 5-8 years of experience, 3-4 years at a Big 4 firm preferred
• - Solid US GAAP grounding. Multi-entity experience with a working understanding of eliminations, consolidations, and cost-plus entity structures
• - ASC 842 lease accounting, vendor contract review, and the ability to research and account for one-off transactions
• - Exposure to AI/automation of processes
• - Experience in a technology driven company, background with IP-licensing experience is preferred
