Job summary

BlackCube Labs in South San Francisco, CA, seeks a Lead GenAI Engineer (Senior Contractor) to design a stateful, headless GenAI application that coordinates multiple agents and enterprise services.

You will propose the architecture, make key technical decisions, and write production code; the role requires hands-on expertise and the ability to deliver structured outputs and observability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience architecting and building production GenAI applications.
• Strong Python or TypeScript software engineering and microservices experience.
• Experience designing stateful, multi-turn and multi-agent orchestration.
• API-first architecture and structured-contract design experience.
• Experience building headless services that produce structured outputs for downstream apps.
• Experience integrating GenAI apps with enterprise platforms, data services and content repositories.
• Experience with RAG, grounding, memory, evaluations and production observability.
• Experience building streaming, multi-turn GenAI interfaces with clarification flows and history.
• Experience rendering structured outputs (tables, charts, citations) and reusable results.
• Ability to propose architecture, establish coding patterns, review other engineers' work, and produce production code.
• Strong AWS, Bedrock and AgentCore experience.
