Job summary

Motorola Solutions’ Noggin unit is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to shape AI-powered products and services. Based in Sydney with hybrid flexibility, you will lead GenAI initiatives, collaborate with Product Management and Software Engineering to move AI use cases from concept to production, ensuring quality, safety, and scalability.

You will design production-scale GenAI solutions using AWS Bedrock, implement RAG architectures, and mentor engineers while promoting responsible AI practices across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or related field.
• 5+ years in software development with 2+ years in production AI/GenAI systems.
• Deep experience with AWS Bedrock, Knowledge Bases, and OpenSearch.
• Proven track record designing and implementing RAG architectures at scale.
• Proficiency in Python for AI/ML and NodeJS/TypeScript for backend development.
• Experience with agentic frameworks and Bedrock Guardrails.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts: models, agents, embeddings, vector databases.
• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering and model evaluation methodologies.
• Knowledge of AI observability, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: drive architectural decisions and coach team members in GenAI, AWS Bedrock, and related technologies.
• End‑to‑End AI Development: design, build, and refine AI use cases including guardrails and evaluation pipelines.
• Collaboration: work with Product Management and Software Engineering to deliver AI features to production.
• Advisory Role: provide guidance on AI implementation strategies to management and customers.
• Community Engagement: contribute to technology chapter meetings and knowledge sharing.
