Job summary

Quevera is seeking a Senior Generative AI Engineer – AWS to support an optimization engagement for a large enterprise in Herndon and Springfield, VA. You will design intelligent model routing, orchestration layers with AWS Bedrock, and multi-turn conversation-context solutions for production environments.

The role requires 5+ years in software development and cloud architecture, 2+ years of AWS production experience, and TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of software development and cloud architecture experience.
• Two or more years of hands-on AWS experience with production workloads.
• Two or more years of experience with Generative AI technologies and LLM deployment.
• Experience with NatSec customers.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Strong programming skills in Python and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience with vector databases and semantic search technologies.
• Expert-level knowledge of AWS services (Bedrock, OpenSearch, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS, RDS/DynamoDB).
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives with minimal oversight.
• Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and deliver measurable customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement intelligent model-routing logic using ML-based classification to route requests to appropriate LLMs based on context and requirements.
• Build and maintain orchestration layers using AWS Bedrock, LangChain, or custom frameworks for multi-model workflows.
• Train, evaluate, and iterate on classification models with feedback loops.
• Architect conversation-context analysis, retrieval, and embedding strategies for multi-turn interactions.
• Develop prompt-engineering standards and context-window management to support routing.
• Architect GenAI solutions with high availability, performance optimization, and cost management.
• Apply GenAI platform practices including observability, evaluation, guardrails, and versioning.
• Design data extraction and transformation pipelines for model training and enterprise integration.
• Engage with stakeholders and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies; produce architecture diagrams and handoff artifacts.
• Travel onsite periodically; collaborate with Engagement Manager to track risks and progress.
