Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems seeks an experienced Generative AI / Enterprise Data Architect to lead the enterprise data fabric and digital thread strategy. The role partners with engineering, IT, operations, and business leaders to enable end-to-end data flow from contracts through sustainment.

You will architect Databricks-based solutions, drive GenAI deployments, and ensure secure, scalable platforms aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data platforms and AI/ML deployments.
• Strong understanding of Databricks, Delta Lake and modern data ecosystems.
• Proven ability to translate business problems into scalable technical architectures.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives and change management.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the reference architecture for the enterprise data fabric centered on Databricks and lakehouse capabilities.
• Architect end-to-end digital thread linking contracts to engineering, manufacturing, and sustainment.
• Lead GenAI use case design, solution architecture, and secure AI/ML platform governance.
• Drive data quality, metadata, lineage, and governance to support reliable AI outcomes.
• Provide architectural leadership for Databricks and related platforms; monitor performance and security.
