Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a senior software engineer for a hybrid role based in New York City or San Francisco. You will design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack systems powering Scale’s GenAI data pipeline and contributor platform, collaborating with ML teams and product teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software engineering experience, strong frontend and backend skills, and deep knowledge of React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Temporal.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in high-growth, product-focused environments.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into technical solutions.
• Experience across the full stack, especially React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and/or Temporal.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable systems across the full stack.
• Own core systems for Scale’s contributor platform and GenAI data pipeline.
• Scale infrastructure to handle millions of tasks weekly with high reliability.
• Collaborate with ML teams, Forward Deployed Engineers, and Product to ensure data quality.
