Job summary

Google Mountain View, CA, is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for Search Platforms with GenAI Content focus. You will own GenAI-driven content understanding, contribute to multimodal content reasoning, and shape infrastructure for AI-powered search experiences.

Lead ML design, model deployment, and data processing across high-scale systems, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful GenAI features and content experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages and with data structures and algorithms.
• 8 years of experience testing, maintaining or launching software products, and 5 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• 8 years of experience with ML/AI algorithms and tools, deep learning or other AI/ML modeling.
• 7 years of experience leading technical project strategy, ML design, and optimizing ML infrastructure (model deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
• 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques (LLMs, multimodal, large vision models) or GenAI concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy GenAI technology to empower content understanding and AI-generated content framework.
• Contribute to content tech areas evolvements including multimodality content understanding and AI content generation with evaluation.
• Be responsible for holistic content modeling and supporting infrastructure that yield content understanding across content types.
• Enable downstream content applications with AI exploration capabilities and measure product metrics.
