Job summary

EXL is seeking an AI Architect to define the technical vision and architecture for generative AI across the Global Technology Commercial Cloud practice. Sitting within the Global Technology organization, you will shape how GenAI is designed, deployed, and operated at scale in AWS-based environments and automation platforms.

This senior role blends deep technical mastery with executive influence, translating complex AI concepts into business value for CXO-level stakeholders and driving enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in software/AI engineering and architecture.
• Depth in generative AI: LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, agent frameworks.
• Proven track record designing GenAI solutions in production at scale.
• Hands-on knowledge of AWS AI services (Bedrock) and cloud infra.
• Strong enterprise architecture, integration, and DevOps tooling.
• Excellent CXO-level communication and executive presence.
• Understanding of responsible-AI, security, and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end architecture and technical vision for GenAI.
• Choose models, frameworks, and agent harnesses per use case.
• Move PoC to production with scalable designs.
• Integrate GenAI into AWS CI/CD and ITSM ecosystem.
• Design for scale, performance, and cost optimization.
• Establish monitoring, evaluation, and incident response.
• Mentor teams and governance processes.
• Engage CXO-level stakeholders and present business value.
• Shape enterprise GenAI strategy and roadmaps.
• Build business cases and ROI analyses.
