Job summary

Capital One is seeking an AI Engineer 4 to join the Gen AI Platform Services team, focusing on Agentic AI, guardrails, evaluation, and memory. You will design, implement, and scale AI-enabled products across Capital One’s platforms, collaborating with engineers, researchers, and product managers to deliver reliable, responsible AI solutions.

The role requires deep expertise in AI/ML systems, experience with large-scale training and inference, and a track record of producing production-grade AI

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Master's with relevant AI/ML experience as stated in the Basic Qualifications.

Responsibilities

Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
Design, test, deploy, and support AI software components including model training and inference
Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies across platforms
Optimize foundation model performance for latency, throughput, and cost
Define and maintain SL0s, observability, and governance for AI systems
Mentor more junior engineers on scalable AI design and production translation
Lead architectural reviews for new AI deployments with security and compliance in mind
