JOB SUMMARY
Vaco Technology is currently seeing a Senior GCP Platform Engineer for a 6M C2H opportunity that is 100% remote-based. The Senior GCP Platform Engineer must possess a strong understanding of Cloud-based Platforms, including GCP, AWS, and Azure, with specialization in GCP. The GCP Platform Engineer must possess extensive hands-on expertise in CloudDeployment Manager, Cost Management, Cloud Monitoring, Networking, and GCP Services required to manage workloads in Cloud. The Senior GCP Platform Engineer must have hands-on experience with cloud-based tools, including
Terraform, CloudCheckr, CloudGuard, Dome9, Prisma Cloud, CloudHealth, and Cloudability. Additionally, the Senior GCP Platform Engineer must possess familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems, networking, production operations, and software deployment.

• Day-to-Day Monitoring of End-Client Cloud-Based Infrastructure
• Conduct Weekly Discussions with End-Clients to Review Outstanding Issues/Changes / Discuss Proposals for Improving End-Client Environment
• Develop Automated Solutions to Monitor / Support Cloud-Based Infrastructure
• Configure / Tune Cloud-Based Tools - Managing End-Client Cost / Security / Compliance
• Provide Consultation / Monthly Reporting on End-Client Cloud-Based Infrastructure
• Demonstrated Technical Leadership - Exceptional Written / Verbal Communication Skills
  

About the Project: The Senior GCP Platform Engineer will be joining a company that operates as an MSP, requiring the Platform Engineer to have strong client-facing experience and excellent communication skills. The Senior GCP Platform Engineer will work closely with the Onboarding Engineer and a Functional Project Manager to clearly articulate the rationale behind selected tools and technologies, respond directly to client inquiries, and ensure a smooth and informed integration experience. The Senior GCP Platform Engineer is a combination of Direct-End Client Interfacing / Solutioning and Hands-On GCP Platform Engineering. The Observability Strategy Team also works hands-in hand with the Platform Engineers, Onboarding Engineers, and Project Managers working to smoothly implement services / solutions into End-Client environments. Both the Project Engineering and Observability Teams are actively integrating AI solutions in partnership with NVIDIA, where both teams offer the opportunity to expand into advanced AI and platform. technologies.
