Job summary

Ingram Micro in Irvine, California is seeking a GCP Infrastructure Engineer to operate and secure global GCP environments, delivering hands-on engineering on the SWAT team. This role focuses on resiliency, automation, and compliance across cloud services.

You will implement automation with Terraform and Ansible, support GKE, and ensure governance while collaborating with cross-functional teams; hybrid work with some remote days is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of infrastructure/cloud ops/systems engineering experience.
• 5+ years hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience (Compute Engine, IAM, VPC, GKE).
• Experience supporting incident response and disaster recovery in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Secure and harden GCP infrastructure for resilience and rapid action.
• Build automation with Terraform, Ansible, and GCP tools for provisioning.
• Support GKE operations and optimize compute, network, and storage usage.
• Enforce governance and maintain audit-ready docs and runbooks.
• Collaborate with InfoSec, cloud architects, and application teams globally.
• Perform daily operations and root-cause analysis to improve reliability.
