Persistent seeks a Senior GCP Data Engineer to design and optimize scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. You will implement data virtualization using Starburst or Dremio, build FT/ETL processes, and optimize BigQuery workloads while collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and business partners.

The role focuses on enterprise data platforms, data quality, and security best practices, with a contract arrangement in Charlotte, NC and a strong emphasis on modern data architectures.

Qualificações

• 7–12 years of experience in Data Engineering or Big Data environments.
• Hands-on with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including BigQuery and Dataflow required.
• Experience with Starburst and/or Dremio for data virtualization and federation is mandatory.
• Strong ETL/ELT design, data integration, and data warehousing knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and deploy scalable data pipelines on GCP.
• Develop data virtualization and federated queries across distributed sources.
• Optimize BigQuery workloads with partitioning, clustering, and tuning.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.
