Job summary

AVANGRID seeks a Manager - Lead Supervisor to oversee gas maintenance and operations across multiple NY sites. You will mentor supervisors, drive safety and performance, and manage daily activities for field crews and contractors to ensure system integrity and customer satisfaction.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s or higher with extensive gas industry experience, strong leadership, and the ability to respond after hours for emergencies. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with minimum 6 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Associate’s degree with minimum 8 years of relevant experience preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of gas work and construction.
• Knowledge of gas distribution construction and maintenance, labor agreement, safety manual, leak detection methods, procedures and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, Hazmat, and OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Plans and oversees gas department work; ensures safe daily field operations.
• Oversees scheduling and staffing of crews and equipment.
• Administers budgets, documents, and compliance activities.
• Monitors gas records for audits and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates safety training, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Leads interaction with customers and coordinates with government agencies.
